Choreographic residency for research on the piece Time Cycles on a Landscape of a Body

Shaymaa Shoukry from Egypt, studied Visual Arts and Theatre in the American University in Cairo, and Modern Dance in the Cairo Opera House School, class of 2006.Following a series of contemporary dance workshops guided by a variety of regional and international artists/ choreographers since 2006 till date organized by Studio Emad El Dien and curated by Karima Mansour and Laurence Rondoni convectively. Shaymaa would like to continue finding pleasure in dancing, choreographing, and experimenting with media. A multidisciplinary artist always interested in learning new disciplines and combining techniques from different art forms. Shaymaa has performed and worked in Cairo, Alexandria, Paris, Marseille, Avignon, Picardy, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Colorado.
