Pieter de Ruiter/Eva Villenueva |Damascus (Syria) - Tanween & High Institute for Dramatic Arts (2009)

The Syrian High Institute for Dramatic Arts is one of the few professional-level performing arts institutions in Syria. The coordinator of the workshop program for the dance division of that institution, Mey Sefan (a guest at the 2007 Dancing on the Edge Festival) requested a workshop in composition, choreography and production for the students. The choreographers/teachers De Ruiter and Villanueva of Dansity (www.dansity.com) travelled to Damascus to give the workshop.
