Feri de Geus/Noortje Bijvoets |Damascus (Syria) - Ramad Dance (2007)

Ramad Dance, based in Damascus Syria, was until the tragic death of its director in 2009, Lawand Hayo, one of the most innovative contemporary dance groups in Syria. In 2007 Feri de Geus and Noortje Bijvoets, directors of Le Grand Cru (www.legrandcru-dance.nl) were invited to make a piece commissioned by Dancing on the Edge on the group (link to archive co-productions). Throughout the creative process, they gave daily training (ballet and modern dance) to the dancers who took part in the project.
