Atefeh Tehrani (Iran)
Atefeh Teherani, an Iranian theatre artist, choreographer and stage director, was a member of the group Black Narcissus for 10 years. The group worked under the supervision of Hamed Mohammad Taheri, who introduced contemporary physical theatre to Iranian artists. She recently established her own theater troupe, The Indra Group. For her piece Othello, which will be shown in the Dancing on the Edge Festival 2011, Tehrani won the International Association of Theater Critics Best Director Award at the 28th Fajr International Theater Festival in early 2010.
