Ali Chahrour (Lebanon) | ICKamsterdam/Henny Jurriëns Foundation (2011)

Artistic residency for movement research, to gain familiarity with working processes of Emio Greco PC, to participate in the BEYOND international exchange program of ICKamsterdam and to train and do workshops at the Henny Jurriëns Foundation.

Ali Chahrour was born in Beirut in 1989. He received a Theater Diploma from The Lebanese University in 2010. He graduated from Takween-Beirut Contemporary Dance School in 2010 and is a member of the Takween Collective. Chahrour has worked with Maqamat Dance Theatre, led by Omar Rajeh, since 2008. In 2011 he participated in an artistic residence with Sasha Waltz and Guests in Berlin. His piece, On the Lips Snow, was performed in the 2011 Dancing on the Edge Festival.
